    Biography

Dr Dennis Beringer is an assistant professor in the Center for Translational Immunology (CTI) at the University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands. He obtained his PhD at Utrecht University in the field of structural biology. After which he moved to Monash University, Australia, where he investigated the molecular details of T cell receptor (TCR) – antigen interactions in autoimmune diseases and cancer. Intrigued by TCR biology, he returned to Utrecht to join the group of Jürgen Kuball at the UMCU in 2016 to study the molecular determinants of tumor reactive γδTCRs, for which he received a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship. Currently, he and his team are focusing on the optimization of existing and the development of novel γδ-TCR based therapeutics for cancer therapy, with a special emphasis on a new class of bispecific T cell engagers called GABs.
