We all agree that people who work in the field of resuscitation should be well trained and comfortable to work in a multidisciplinary setting. Prof. Reinier Hoff, anesthesiologist from Utrecht, provides us with perspectives from modern medical teaching and the elective transitional year in acute care that he founded, connecting undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. With this, he leads the way in training excellent resuscitationists.
