Abstract

Three discrete reconstruction techniques for seven pinhole tomography have been investigated. The results show that a modified version of the ART3 algorithm (ART3H) is the best choice for this particular application. ART3H is a fast algorithm which uses relatively little computer memory space and which produces good quality reconstructions. The SMART algorithm can be considered as a good second choice with slightly less sharp reconstructions and a somewhat greater consumption of computer storage.
