Abstract

Shielded-coaxial-cable loops, or high impedance coils (HICs), are receiving increased interest in the MRI community because of performance benefits such as better decoupling, lower peak SAR in transmit mode and a flexible coil design. In this work, we summarize our recent efforts in understanding and applying coaxial conductors for antenna design in MRI.
