Abstract

Source parameters for three subjects were estimated from measured electrocardiogram data. Different single-dipole source models were considered and compared with a double-layer source model. The single-dipole models and the double-layer model were found to yield simulated surface potentials closely corresponding to the observed data. Next, the magnetocardiogram (MCG) was calculated for the different source models. Simulated MCGs were compared to measured MCGs. The double-layer model was found to describe the genesis of the MCG better than the single-dipole models.
