Abstract

Sudden cardiac death in the young is a rare and devastating event. A dedicated and focused post-mortem investigation is essential in detecting potential inherited cardiac diseases in sudden death victims, which facilitates appropriate management of the victim’s family members. Many specialized clinical disciplines are involved, and a multidisciplinary approach is required to provide the best outcome in these cases.
