Abstract

We report an unusual case of primary, right psoas abscess caused by Proteus mirabilis which developed three years after ipsilateral nephrectomy. The diagnosis was established by computer tomography, recommended today as superior to other diagnostic methods of demonstration for the retroperitoneum.
