Abstract

Paediatric (neonatal) clinical chemistry needs special attention from the clinical chemist. Some aspects of interesting topics, in which paediatric clinical chemistry differs from adult clinical chemical services, will be discussed such as sampling, stat assays, blood coagulation, the strategy of blood transfusion and reference values.
