Abstract

The primary treatment of phimosis is application of topical steroid cream. When results are unsatisfactory, for some boys preputioplasty can be a good alternative to circumcision. Two safe and simple techniques are described to perform preputioplasty with good functional and cosmetic results: the Y-V-plasty and multiple-Z-plasty. Advantages of preputioplasty are: little postoperative pain and good cosmetic and functional results.
