Abstract
Neurotensin, a neuropeptide which exerts various behavioural effects, suppresses ACTH-induced grooming. The time course of this effect of neurotensin reveals that the peptide acts on the early portion of ACTH-induced grooming. This finding suggests that the suppressive effect of neurotensin on ACTH-induced grooming is different from that of neuroleptics.
