Abstract
This thesis describes results of translational research (both bench to bedside as reverse
translation from bedside back to the bench) in severe Juvenile idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). It
focuses on understanding critical immunological features of both systemic and polyarticular
JIA and relates this to current and novel therapeutic interventions in patients.
