Mechanisms of disease and therapy in severe juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Abstract

This thesis describes results of translational research (both bench to bedside as reverse translation from bedside back to the bench) in severe Juvenile idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). It focuses on understanding critical immunological features of both systemic and polyarticular JIA and relates this to current and novel therapeutic interventions in patients.
