Abstract

We present a 35-year-old woman with a history of polydactyly, a carcinoid tumor and multiple basal cell carcinomas. On reviewing the histopathology basaloid follicular hamartomas and not basal cell carcinomas were diagnosed. The typical clinical features of follicular bound papules with comedones, pits and linear atrophoderma helped to establish the correct histopathological diagnosis.© 2014 De Nederlandse Vereniging voor Dermatologie en Venereologie.
