Abstract

In conclusion, the findings in our study suggest that in men, age, body mass index, blood pressure, and serum glucose are related to LV mass, whereas in women glucose was not a statistically significant determinant. In nondiabetic subjects insulin does not exert an independent effect on LV mass.
