Abstract

This thesis describes the added value of the photo-optical transcutaneous oxygen measurement (TCpO2) for the evaluation of diabetic feet. Is TCpO2 suitable as a measuring instrument for these purposes? Our research shows that there is added value, but it is not the holy grail. In addition, this thesis describes the added value of (delta) plasma fibrinogen as a predictor of major bleeding in patients undergoing catheter-guided thrombolysis.
