Abstract

Rhabdomyolysis, necrosis of myocytes, is a common complication of many intoxications. This article gives information on the causes and the pathophysiology of the syndrome, its symptoms and complications and the therapeutic possibilities. It ends with an advise to be vigilant for this syndrome in certain situations.
