Abstract
Very few publications about transureteroureterostomies (TUU) are available, especially the TUU in adults. We report an illustrative case of a 31-year-old female patient who underwent an acute hysterectomy for placenta praevia and percreta. During this operation a defect of 6 cm length occurred and a TUU was performed. In a questionnaire, recently held among Dutch urologists, we found that the TUU, although a valuable operation, is used as little as it is described in international literature.
