Abstract
Nowadays, many healthy individuals travel the world.
The number of travelers with an impaired immune
system is also increasing. Since the risk of travel-related
infections is higher in this group, and in-
cludes vaccine preventable diseases, a thorough
risk assessment
before travel should be performed.
In this article we will highlight what actions a specialist
in hematological diseases could take, when a patients
mentions his or her travel plans.
