Abstract
Keratoconus in children can have an enormous impact because an inverse relationship has been found between patient age and disease severity. Paediatric cases are more severe and are more likely to develop progressive keratoconus. In children, the progression of keratoconus can be rapid and devastating, having a higher chance of requiring corneal transplant. The chapter outlines the strategies for clinical decision making and crosslinking application in children and Down syndrome.
