Abstract
The authors have identified an error in the introduction of the main text. The correct statement should read: “Hypertension is an important risk factor for all-cause dementia, including Alzheimer's disease (AD). It affects over 70% of adults aged 60 and older,” rather than “Hypertension is an important risk factor for all-cause dementia, including Alzheimer's disease (AD), which is the cause of dementia in over 70% of adults aged 60 and older.” This correction pertains solely to the background information of this paper and does not impact the study's results or interpretations in any way. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and are available to address any questions or comments.
