Abstract

In a 60-year-old man who suffered from relapsing itching dermatosis in spring and summer, allergy to sesquiterpenelactones was diagnosed; those are allergens in plants of the family Compositae. This kind of dermatitis also has characteristics of photodermatosis. In many patients with chronic actinic dermatitis allergy to Compositae can be found.
