Abstract

This study in Lombardy estimated the proportion of lung cancers attributable to occupational exposure to known or suspected human carcinogens. Exposure, even low, to asbestos, silica and to chromium and nickel compounds, appears to cause approximately a thousand cancer cases a year among men.
