Abstract
Ataxic hemiparesis is a well-recognized manifestation of lacunar infarction. We report a patient in whom this syndrome was caused by a 4-cm3 parasagittal haematoma. The finding that ataxic hemiparesis may be caused by a primary intracerebral haematoma has implications for treatment and warrants early imaging of these patients.
