Biography
Sigrid van der Veen is a PhD student at the UMC Utrecht and dedicated to contribute to biomedical and translational research. She graduated at the University of Groningen, both bachelor's and master's in Biomedical Sciences. She is currently working on her PhD traject. With a focus on improving our understanding of the pathofysiology and clinical heterogeniety observed in sickle cell disease by correlating untargeted metabolomics and clinical health data.
