Biography
Michelle van Rijn is currently pursuing a full-time PhD at the General Practice & Nursing Science department of the Julius Center, University Medical Center Utrecht. Her PhD focuses on symptom management and self-care in patients with heart failure and will end in December 2027.
From 2014 to 2024, Michelle worked as a nurse in the cardiology department at UMC Utrecht. In 2020, she completed her master’s degree in Nursing Science, and from 2021 to 2024, she worked part-time as a nurse scientist in the cardiothoracic surgery department at UMC.
