    Research interests

    My research mainly focuses on early colorectal cancer and the prediction of metastasis based on histological risk factors and biomarkers. Through the Dutch T1 Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Working Group, a multicenter, multidisciplinary collaboration between gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists and pathologists, we aim to perform high-quality research concerning the detection, diagnosis, treatment and surveillance of early colorectal cancer in order to increase common knowledge and awareness and decrease the number patients that will be referred for surgery or other additional treatment without any benefit.
