Biography
Maarten van Smeden is a medical statistician, associate professor of epidemiologic methods and head of the research program methodology at the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care, UMC Utrecht, the Netherlands. His research is focused on the development and evaluation of statistical and data science methodology, with a particular focus on methodology related to the development, validation and implementation of prediction models.
