Biography

Fariba Ahmadizar, PharmD, MSc, and PhD in Epidemiology, is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Data Science and Biostatistics Department, now a visiting scholar at the Epidemiology Department, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA.

Research and Academic Contributions: Fariba’s research interest lies in biomarker discovery in cardiometabolic disorders, with a focus on the intersection of omics (e.g., genetics and metabolomics), risk factors, drug response, and public health. She is a Principal Investigator leading various initiatives and consortia, demonstrating her commitment to advancing research and education. Currently, she serves as the Principal Investigator of the observational Post-Authorization Safety Studies for the RWE group. Her significant contributions extend to numerous fellowships, grants, and the supervision of postdocs, Ph.D., and MSc students.

Fariba is also deeply involved in academic coordination and teaching. She coordinates the course Molecular Pharmacoepidemiology at the Utrecht Summer School. Her BKO certificate underlines her dedication to quality education.

She actively contributes to the scientific community by organizing and coordinating pre-conference courses, serving as an international scientific coordinator, and holding editorial roles in reputable journals such as EJPC.
