Biography
Medical doctor from Chile, specialized in internal medicine with international certification in lifestyle medicine (IBLM 2019). I earned a MSc in One Health (UU), focusing on strategies for healthier, sustainable urban environments and equitable healthcare services. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at the UMCU where I am conducting research to inform the implementation of lifestyle medicine initiatives, with an emphasis on local barriers and facilitators, equitable lifestyle healthcare and enhancing patient/organizational health literacy.
With over 10 years of clinical experience in both in-hospital and outpatient settings, I now provide remote consultations specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions using a shared decision-making model. Additionally, I have experience teaching medical students and in LM University Certificate Programs in Chile. Co-founded and served as the inaugural president of the Chilean Society of Lifestyle Medicine (2020-2022). Member of the executive committee of the World LM Organization since its foundation.
