Description

Detailed programme of the traineeship period: A week schedule will be provided with daily programme (including: grant round, journal club, Research meeting, neuroimaging meeting, EEG scoring meeting, neuroanatomy training) The student will be allowed to join the ward rounds, join the neonatal MRI scanning, join The neonatologist responsible for delivery care, join on ultrasound scans. During the stay the student will be offered a research project with a research mentor. The student will join the activities of the Master and PhD students (n>20) There will be weekly assessments (feedbacks) and an end-report (evaluation) Knowledge, skills and competences to be acquired by the trainee at the end of the traineeship - Be able to conduct a high quality neonatal cerebral ultrasound scan - Have basic knowledge of developmental neuroanatomy (including neuro-embryology) - Produce a research paper suitable ready for internal review - Be able to score neonatal aEEG and MRI scans (Kidokoro) - Give a talk during the research meeting on the research project
